First running demo: self-made books for disadvantaged children

In June 2025 we had the first complete running demo of the prototype in the presence of Kyle Zimmer, President, CEO, and Co-Founder of First Book, followed by a demo with Inga Nichanian, Director of UNESCO’s Chairs Programme, Future of Learning and Innovation Education Sector.
Both demos generated enthusiastic feedback and valuable insights. The positive response confirmed that we’re on the right track with our core concept and user experience design. The demo successfully showcased the key features and functionality, validating our approach while also revealing opportunities for refinement that will make the final product even stronger.
Moving forward, we’re entering an exciting phase of testing and co-design with teachers—the educators who will ultimately bring this tool to life in their classrooms. This collaborative approach ensures that our next development sprint will be informed by real-world classroom needs and teaching workflows. By working directly with educators during this phase, we’ll gather crucial feedback on usability, identify potential integration challenges, and discover enhancement opportunities we might not have considered from a purely technical perspective. This teacher-centered co-design process will be instrumental in shaping a product that truly serves the educational community before we move into our next implementation sprint.
