Professors Perry and Roda gave a presentation on AI competencies for human rights protection: empowering (digital) citizens<\/strong><\/em> at the 2024 edition<\/a> of UNESCO’s Digital Learning Week<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At this event we presented for the first time our 5 Principles for the Use of AI in Education:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. Classroom experience based on human interaction (main investment should be in human teachers)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Use technology only when it can assist human teachers to achieve their goals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Institutional commitment to \u2018human oversight by design\u2019.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Shared oversight with students on AI decision-making: AI tools adopted only after assessment\/peer review.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Registration of all algorithms used to deliver education and student services in transparent data base.”<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
